How community TV is funded
Marshfield Broadcasting is a community media service of the City of Marshfield. Community television operations are supported primarily through cable franchise related funding rather than the City’s general property tax levy.
As traditional cable subscriptions decline, this funding source also decreases. Sponsorships, underwriting, grants, and community partnerships can help support government coverage, community programming, local news, production access, equipment, facilities, and delivery on cable and online.
