Marshfield Broadcasting serves the City of Marshfield and surrounding area with community, educational, and government programming. We provide training, studio access, and streaming so local voices can be heard.
How Community TV Is Funded
Marshfield Broadcasting is a community media service of the City of Marshfield. Community television operations are supported primarily through cable franchise-related funding rather than the City’s general property tax levy.
As traditional cable television subscriptions continue to decline, this funding source also continues to decrease. Marshfield Broadcasting is working to build additional support through program sponsorships, underwriting, grants, partnerships, and other community-based funding opportunities.
These resources help support local government coverage, community programming, local news, public access to media production, equipment, facilities, and the technology needed to deliver programming on cable television and online.
