WOOD COUNTY, Wis. — Wood County residents and people who work in the county are being encouraged to share their thoughts about the health and well-being of the community through the 2026 Community Health Assessment Survey.
Healthy People Wood County recently launched the survey to gather information about residents' experiences, priorities and concerns. The results will be used to identify local priorities and help guide future health improvement efforts throughout Wood County.
“The CHA survey is one of the most important tools we have for understanding the health needs of our community,” said Kristie Egge, Supervisor of Strategic Initiatives at the Wood County Health Department. Egge said hearing directly from residents allows local organizations to make informed decisions and develop strategies that reflect community priorities.
The survey was developed through a partnership between the Wood County Health Department and Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids to learn more about the issues community members believe have an impact on health in Wood County.
Sarah Beversdorf, Community Benefit Analyst at Aspirus, said working together allows the organizations to combine resources and have a greater impact on the community.
Survey responses are anonymous, and officials estimate it will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Participants will also have an opportunity to enter a drawing for one of three $50 VISA gift cards after completing the survey.
The survey is available online in both English and Spanish. Paper copies are also available at several locations throughout Wood County, including the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library, 105 S. Maple Ave. in Marshfield.
Additional Marshfield locations offering paper copies include the ADRC of Central Wisconsin at 211 E. Second St., Suite 123, and St. Vincent de Paul at 169 N. Central Ave. Paper copies are also available at locations in Wisconsin Rapids, Pittsville, Arpin, Vesper and Nekoosa.
The 2026 Community Health Assessment Survey will remain open through October 31, and all community members who live or work in Wood County are encouraged to participate.
