STRATFORD, Wis. — Stratford author MP Kollman has released her newest novel, Second Chance, a romantic suspense story that blends mystery, unexpected relationships, and police procedural elements. The book was recently published by Outskirts Press and is now available through major online booksellers.
The novel follows Detective Joe McCormick, who travels to a law enforcement convention expecting to lead seminars on undercover work. Instead, a hotel booking error leaves him sharing a room with Arnette "Arnie" Baxter, whose nickname leads to an unexpected mix-up. With no other rooms available, the two strangers agree to make the best of an awkward situation while trying to avoid drawing attention from fellow officers.
As the story unfolds, the chance encounter develops into something neither character anticipated, combining romance with suspense in a fast-paced narrative.
Second Chance is Kollman's ninth published novel and continues her tradition of writing character-driven stories featuring crime, adventure, and romance. The 238-page paperback is available through major online booksellers as well as bookstores and libraries.
Originally raised on a dairy farm in central Minnesota, Kollman discovered her love of storytelling at an early age. After moving to Wisconsin, she raised a family while developing the ideas that would eventually become her seven-book Brothers crime and adventure series. She has also written the standalone romance novel Skin Deep.
Now retired from full-time employment, Kollman is dedicating more of her time to writing. She currently lives in Wisconsin with her family and continues to expand her collection of fiction.
