The Marshfield Utilities Commission will meet at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, in the W.H. Upham Conference Room at 2000 S. Central Ave. Commissioners are scheduled to discuss a draft dark fiber policy, general manager contingency and succession governance, and the overall value of the utility. The agenda also includes routine items such as job orders, bills, payroll and financial reports. The commission may enter closed session to discuss personnel matters and negotiations involving power agreements and land leases.
The Common Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at City Hall, 207 W. Sixth St. The council will hear staff updates, receive reports from boards and commissions, and consider a recommendation to appoint Krista James as municipal court judge on a temporary basis pending a special election. Council members are also expected to receive an informational report on the condition of the Weinbrenner building and redevelopment efforts on West Second Street. A closed session is planned to discuss the Marshfield Utilities wholesale power contract.
The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Committee is scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, in the Wein Room at the Second Street Community Center. The committee will review the Rotary Winter Wonderland annual report, discuss the parks and recreation strategic plan, consider a request for proposals for the Columbia Park bandshell project, and review adjustments to the phasing of the Braem Park redevelopment.
The Fire and Police Commission will meet at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department training room. The agenda includes approval of fire and police department bills, review of ambulance account write-offs, and consideration of several fire department policies and procedures, including updates related to public alerts, roadway incident safety and live-fire training.
