STRATFORD, Wis. — One of Wisconsin's largest agricultural events is set to return to central Wisconsin as Wisconsin Farm Technology Days takes place July 14-16 at No Joke Dairy near Stratford. Organizers say this year's event will offer something for everyone, from farmers and agricultural professionals to families and visitors simply interested in learning more about Wisconsin agriculture.
As preparations continue, thousands of exhibitors, volunteers, and vendors are transforming what was recently working farmland into a temporary city dedicated to showcasing the latest in agricultural technology, equipment, education, and entertainment.
During a recent interview, Wisconsin Farm Technology Days Jackie Vosberg said attendees can expect three full days of exhibits, demonstrations, educational opportunities, and family activities.
"We're excited for the show," Vosberg said. "There's lots of new improvements, and we're excited to welcome everyone out."
The event will feature hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the latest farming equipment and technology, along with field demonstrations highlighting advancements in crop production and precision agriculture. Visitors will also find the Rural Mutual Event Center Tent, Department of Natural Resources exhibits, a large food court featuring central Wisconsin favorites, and ride-and-drive opportunities with manufacturers including Ford, Chevrolet, and Can-Am.
While the event is well known among Wisconsin farmers, Vosberg emphasized that Farm Technology Days is designed for the entire community.
"Wisconsin agriculture is for all of us as consumers and citizens of our state," she said. "Whether you live on a farm or in the middle of town, there's truly something for everyone."
Technology will once again play a major role during this year's show. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the latest innovations in farm equipment, crop management, and drone technology. During the opening ceremony, American Drone will demonstrate agricultural drone capabilities by raising the American flag using drone technology, showcasing one of the many ways modern agriculture continues to evolve.
Families with children will also find plenty to enjoy throughout the grounds. A new safety-focused area sponsored by Marshfield Clinic, known as the Fresh Zone, will provide educational exhibits promoting safe farming practices while also including a children's Tot Zone where young visitors can play and parents can take a break. Interactive livestock areas featuring beef cattle and horses will allow children and families to get an up-close look at farm animals and learn more about Wisconsin's agricultural heritage.
Wisconsin Farm Technology Days will be held Tuesday through Thursday, July 14-16, with gates open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at No Joke Dairy near Stratford.
Whether visitors are lifelong farmers, interested in the latest agricultural technology, or simply looking for a unique family outing, organizers say this year's show promises education, entertainment, and a celebration of Wisconsin's rich agricultural tradition.
