Marshfield residents may soon have a chance to witness military training up close. On October 17 and 18, weather permitting, members of the Wisconsin Army National Guard are scheduled to conduct a training exercise at the Marshfield Municipal Airport. According to Jeff Gaier, General Manager of the Marshfield Airport, the exercise will provide local residents a unique opportunity to observe the Guard in action. “The general public is welcome to attend the airport to observe these exercises as they take place,” Gaier said. While specific details about the training have not been released, officials note that the event is part of the Guard’s regular preparedness efforts. Exercises like these allow service members to sharpen their skills while engaging with the communities they serve. Community members interested in attending are encouraged to check in advance for any schedule changes due to weather conditions.
